Members of our group attend public and government meetings to better understand the decisions what are being made that protect homes and business and the natural environment on the wetlands in Darien, CT.

National River Clean Up Week

Save Darien's Wetlands advocates participation in National River Clean Up Week.

Flood Water Safety

• Do not attempt to rescue items caught in flood water currents.

• Do not attempt to rescue pets or other animals that are in the flood water.

• Turn off electricity before evacuating your home or business. If water covered outlets, you should consult an electrician before turning on electricity again.

• Never touch any electrical device while standing in water.

• Mold thrives on cardboard. Remove wet cardboard before dampness encouracges mold growth. Consult a water restoration expert about removal of wet sheet rock.
